Detailed description of Heritage Golf Club
Heritage Golf Club is a Public, 18 hole golf course located in Pawleys Island, South Carolina, between the Atlantic Ocean and the Intracoastal Waterway on the banks of the Waccamaw River.
A Dan Maples design, Heritage Golf Club opened for play in 1986.
Heritage Golf Club has one of the Myrtle Beach area's stateliest clubhouses, a 12,000 square feet of southern Colonial overlooking the Waccamaw River/ Although bult in 1986, not 1886, both the clubhouse and the golf course look to be from a century ago era.
More than 600 acres of giant magnolias, 300-year old oaks, fresh water lakes and marshes are the landscape of this golfing community. The course serves as the centerpiece to the famous Heritage Plantation, which in addition to the championship golf, features swimming, health club and yacht club facilities.
Ranked among the "50 Best Public Courses in America" by Golf Digest, the Heritage Golf Club follows the natural contours of the land, stretching out beside long abandoned and historic rice fields. Heritage features spacious, rolling fairways and large, undulating greens, surrounded by lush stands of crepe myrtle, camellias and azaleas. .

Greens and tee boxes were a disappointment! They did have towels waiting after our high 90's degree heat for 18. Staff very friendly in clubhouse and outside. High potential with a little work on course condition. GC
